We’re delighted to announce that for the fourth year running SLOW CLUB will be playing their special Christmas show at the Union Chapel on the 19th of December.
Previous years have seen encores of Christmas songs, and festive atmosphere presented by the anti-folk troubadours.
Swedish electro-pop duo Korallreven have revealed the details and track listing for their debut full-length, An Album By Korallreven, to be released on Acéphale on November 15. The duo are celebrating the album’s forthcoming release with a mixtape entitled A Dream Within A Dream, featuring Britney Spears, Ciara, and more. Download their remix of Britney Spears’ VMA-winning single, “Till the World Ends.” (mp3 available to post)
More ambitious than their previous mixes, the pair revisit and remix some of their favorite songs from the past year. The result is not a farewell to summer, more of a wistful glance over the shoulder. The mix is available for download here and the individual tracks can be found here
Korallreven came together after Marcus Joons returned from an extended trip to Samoa where he found inspiration in the local Catholic choirs. Mesmerized by the beauty of the South Pacific and the exhilaration of travel, he shared his newfound passion with Daniel Tjäder (also of The Radio Dept) and a partnership was born. The group take a blissful journey through influences as far flung as southern rap, dreampop, reggae, and minimal techno, among many others. Joining Korallreven on this debut are a host of collaborators including Victoria Bergsman (Taken By Trees, The Concretes) and Julianna Barwick. An Album By Korallreven wistfully yearns for summer days. As our days shorten and the cold sets in, take it from the Swedes: nothing quells the stirring for warmer months quite like the brightness of a sincere pop song.
Plus KINS

It’s All True, the bold new album from JUNIOR BOYS, will be released on July 4th in the UK. The release will be preceded by the release of the 12″ and digital single for the epic 9-minute “Banana Ripple,” which will come with a remix by The Field. As part of the album announcement, Domino is offering a free download of the album track “ep” at the following link and is available now: here
A double bill from the highly respected Kompakt label featuring sumblime looper and architect of rhythm THE FIELD aka Axel Willner, and WALLS, Sam Willis (of ALLEZ-ALLEZ) and Alessio Natalizia (of BANJO OR FREAKOUT).
Binary are David Troster (vocals and guitar), Francesco Bondi (guitar and keyboard), Craig Lowe (bass) and Jake Sorbie (drums). Troster formed the band in late 2010 after leaving Yale University, where he was studying molecular biology. On his return to London he was introduced to Francesco Bondi through a mutual friend and the pair began experimenting with production techniques and crafting songs.
The line-up was completed when Bassist Craig Lowe joined the band and brought in his childhood friend Jake Sorbie on Drums.
“Prisoner” is the London four-piece’s first physical single and is released through Luv Luv Luv Records. They first came to the attention of Luv after they posted their track ‘Turquoise’ online over the summer.
The track was mixed by Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails collaborator Sean Beavan, combining the bands reverb drenched melodies with menacing production and industrial decay. Lo-fi electronics are interspersed with cold guitars to create a spooky atmosphere allowing the band’s sound to become darker and more intimate.
In between retreating to the wilds of South England to write and produce the band have found time to self curate a number of sell out show’s with the likes of Matthew Dear, Darkstar, Breton and Worship as well as joining Metronomy for his Shepherds Bush Empire show earlier this year. In addition the band remixed a counterpart E.P to their debut release and collaborated with up and coming director and VJ, Lewis Kyle White (2 Many DJ’s, Radio Soulwax, Crystal Fighters) to produce four remix videos currently being hosted online at duologuemusic.co.uk.
“I guess we would consider ourselves musicians and producers in the way we approach a track, we write the song, break it apart and build it up layer by layer, using as many new sounds and beats as possible and pushing it as far as it can go.”
Deceptively named, Duologue’s first incarnation was born from the meeting of musicobsessive’s techno DJ and beats programmer Toby Leeming and guitarist vocalist Tim Digby-Bell whilst studying in Edinburgh. Through a shared love of obscure electronica, subversive Detroit techno as well as the more usual suspects like Aphex Twin and Radiohead the pair went from bedroom experimentalists to recruiting fellow childhood and university pals Seb Dilleyston (violins) Ross Stone (bass) and Toby Lee (lead guitar) to form a fully fledged band.
‘A-B’ is a taster of this unique band’s ability to throw you in the audio tumble dryer and leave you euphoric, elated and always thinking.
Written, performed, produced and mixed by Duologue, so goes the credit on A-B the impressive futuristic electro rock infused second E.P from London based five piece Duologue. Hot on the follow up to eponymous first E.P this new release is yet further proof of this experimental bands ability to fuse audio technology with good old, fashioned heart felt songs. Melodies melt into glitchy beats and bass heavy riffs buoy up guitar solos, seamlessly soaring into crescendos of dance friendly rhythm’s all pulled together by singer TimDigby-Bells emotion ridden vocals.
“Duologue’s noise is all consuming and truly mesmeric.” i-D
“ A bracing, menacing combination that, with Digby Bell’s extraordinary voice on, results in music that is powerfully direct yet richly complex.” Sunday Times Culture
“(Duologue) ambitiously and impressively combine Led Zeppelin/White Stripes blues-rock with dub-step wobble.” Mixmag
“Duologue are an experimental quintet who doff their caps to the likes of Sigur Rós and Aphex Twin.” -The Fly
We are delighted to welcome back MALCOLM MIDDLETON, one half of ARAB STRAP Scottish sooth-sayer and all round purveyor of arch truths.
With support from new band HUMAN DON’T BE ANGRY, featuring a familiar frontman
The Knocks are Ben “B-Roc” Ruttner and James “Jpatt” Patterson. They garnered their name from the early days of their production career when they tirelessly worked out of their home studios and complaining neighbours would knock on their doors. They have since produced original material and remixes for Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Foster The People, plus they’ve shared the stage with acts like Deadmau5, Chromeo, and Calvin Harris.
The Knocks have recently released a series for remixes of their brilliant single “Brightside’. To listen click here.
It features remixes by Fred Falek, Discotech, Lenno, and Jaybird.
Their forthcoming EP ‘Magic’ will be released on 6th December.
Plus support from ICONOPOP
Iceage are Elias Bender Ronnenfelt and Jakob Tvilling Pless, Johan Surrballe Wieth and Dan Kjaer Nielsen
Formed while at school in Copenhagen aged 12, they quickly became a vital part of the city’s heavy music scene. It doesn’t do any good to cite influences, rather, Iceage mixes punk, post-punk, Goth and hardcore as if they invented it. Now all between 18 and 19, they have created an album overflowing with youthful energy, a 12 track sprint, crammed into just 24 minutes, recorded in 4 days. It’s long enough to hit you in the chest, short enough to make you wonder what happened. It’s immediate, catchy and clever. Everything a debut album should be.
The band can currently be found playing shows in every corner of America, sleeping on floors, bloodying noses and getting everyone from The New Yorker to VICE magazine very, very excited. Their shows are still notoriously physical, sometimes aggressive, often destructive and always fun. You may get pushed around. Deal with it.
