The Complete Mercurys on 6 Music

BBC 6 Music started its Complete Mercurys series last night.  During the series, 6 Music will be giving us complete guides to all of this years Mercury nominated albums and it started off the other day with King Creosote & Jon Hopkins and Anna Calvi.

Stream: Pop-up Slow Club Show

Check out this pop-up show Slow Club played a few weeks ago on a particularly rainy england day. They brought some sunshine to Soho Square in London regardless. We’ve got our hands on a copy of the new record and we’ll be posting some initial thoughts track by track this week, so keep your eyes out for that.

Clock Opera release their next EP ‘Lesson No. 7’ on October 3 through Moshi Moshi/Island Records.  The three track EP will include tracks “Lesson No. 7,” “Seven Hours” and a Tom Vek remix.  The title track, the furious and relentless ”Lesson No. 7,” is now available to stream via SoundCloud and it has left us very excited for their show on September 14!

Zola Jesus

Zola Jesus recorded a live session for Daytrotter.com, performing songs “Avalanche” and “Trust Me.” “Avalanche” is taken from her next album ‘Conatus’ which is set to be released on September 26, the same day as her one-off show at Toynbee Hall.
