Here’s a nice video interview with Connan Mockasin in the most French looking place ever. Bit of a Kurt Cobain thing going on with that guitar.

We gave you a track-by-track a couple of weeks ago to an album that is shaping up to be one of our favourites of the year and a big step up. Don’t believe us? Take a listen to it below and let us know what you think on @eatyourownears twitter!

Here’s an interesting chat with those baking chroniclers. There show is tommorow night at the Shacklewell Arms and entirely free.
Even though it didn’t quite get the nod for album of the year, this song is certainly our summer song of the year – and we can’t think of many better festival songs this year. Every time we see a live performance it feels like a coronation, including this excellent take from the Mercury Awards. The band are playing at the one and only Albert Hall for us soon.
The winner of Drowned in Sound’s alternative Neptune prize was also announced yesterday (a little before the Mercury Prize – presumably according to distance from the Sun) and they plumped for EYOE faves SBTRKT. Head over to Drowned in Sound to read what founder Sean Adams has to say about the record. Both of our shows this year have for SBTRKT have sold out enormously quickly so their popularity is in no doubt to us.
Early booking advised for the next show we have lined up with them…
Kurt Vile must spent a great deal of time writing and recording because the ever-prolific indie-lifer is back with another EP of new material (and a Springsteen cover) a bit later on this year. Check out the cover art above featuring Vile as the worlds worst shopping mall Santa Claus/drunk friend at a party and listen to a new jam too:
