Clock Opera are a band who have continually impressed this year – from remixes, to singles to the live show which gets better with every viewing. It’s been a slow build for the band but there’s a feeling that 2012 could be a banner year for them and we’re excited to see some more of them. Niki and The Dove

One of our favourite artists of the past year, and one of the biggest live shows we have witnessed lately. Check out a brand new video for the song ‘DJ Ease My Mind’ above, it’s beautiful. We look forward to Niki and the Dove hypnotizing us with their ethereal beauty some more in 2012.

Here’s another clip from Toy whose rise has been an exciting one to follow this year. This one is out early next year on Heavenly and they play for us just before on the 18th of January at the Shacklewell of course.

Chairlift

N ot a brand new band, true, but we think Chairlift have big things afoot next year. The foolish among you might have thought Chairlift were destined to be a footnote in a Wikipedia article titled ‘iPod Adverts’ but with recent Boiler Room destroying single Amanaemonesia (try requesting that one drunk) they show some serious pop chops. We had a sneak listen at the upcoming record and it is huge. Check the amazing video for Amanaemonesia below.
