Eat Your Own Ears and Field Day are thrilled to present PANES at Ace Hotel this June ahead of their performance at the festival.
Having first teamed up just over a year ago, the duo met through mutual friends and let the music take control. They’ve since dropped debut tracks, Choice Errors & ANAE and been blogged about all over the place. Tyson is every bit as talented as her mother, Neneh Cherry, and Shaun honed his skills as one of Hackney’s Flesh & Bone collective. Together they’re seamlessly weaving clever production with soulful harmonies and stunning oriental samples, making for a dreamy listen and leaving us waiting anxiously for the musical brilliance that we’re sure is to come.

We are excited to announce another Field Day pre party with the brilliant Glasser. Glasser will be playing the Shacklewell Arms on Wednesday 4 June.
Following up on last year’s incredible album Interiors, Glasser just announced a run of tour dates including her show at the Shacklewell Arms as part of Field Day’s pre parties. She’s also sharing a remix by Deetron from her forthcoming remix pack for the phenomenal track “Shape”. Other remixers include Bristol’s Kowton and Hyetal as well as Visionist. The pack is out April 8th and she had this to say about it….
“I am very happy to present a small collection of remixes of Shape. Each of these ignites a different aspect of emotion in the song, and creates a different experience with light and texture, which is what Interiors is all about. Enjoy!”

ONLY REAL plays a Field Day party night in advance of the festival at the Ace Hotel.
‘Cadillac Girl’ is the latest single from Only Real, aka young west Londoner Niall Galvin, and his first since signing to Virgin EMI in the UK and Harvest Records in the US (home to BANKS and Death Grips among others).
It’s brilliant, swirling psychedelic pop, with woozy guitar lines perfectly complemented by Niall’s unique delivery. It’s lo-fi and real, casual and loose, mixed with a real confidence.‘Cadillac Girl’ was produced by Ben Allen at his studio in Atlanta. He has previously worked with Animal Collective, Deerhunter, Cee-Lo Green and Washed Out amongst others. ‘Cadillac Girl’ follows his previous release, Days In the City EP, which was released last year on LuvLuvLuv Records.
Only Real will be appearing at Field Day in June, as well as a handful of headline shows across the county in April and May (full dates below)
We are pleased to be hosting a Field Day pre party with Throwing Snow at the Ace Hotel.
London-based artist and producer Ross Tones releases of his debut long player for Houndstooth on June 2nd 2014 and follows the recent Pathfinder EP, which drew acclaim from heavyweights including Pitchfork, the Quietus, Dazed, XLR8R, FACT and the Guardian, bagging Track of the Week in the latter.
We’re very sorry to say that Linda Perhacs has had to cancel her tour.
Please contact your ticket outlet directly for a refund.
From Linda:
I apologize deeply to all of you for having to cancel the European Tour, but in mid May, 2014, I took a bad fall which resulted in a return of some of the neck problems I had prior to my neck surgery in 2007. This surgery was to protect my neck and the movement of my arms, etc by placing a titanium implant for neck support, donor bone and fusions. It is a surgery designed primarily for athletes, especially football players. It is a reparative surgery to prevent injury to the spinal column and nerves down the back etc. I immediately went to the emergency room at Kaiser Hospital where they took head and neck MRI’s and blood samples, etc and they have referred me to the specialist that takes care of these things at Kaiser. Once again I apologize to all of you, but singing as well as the movement to my arms is involved here and is the reason I had to cancel any extensive travel at this time and review all of this with my physicians.
Send lots of prayers, I will miss you all!
Lovingly
Linda.
Eat You Own Ears are excited to announce Lovepark will be playing a free show for us at The Shacklewell Arms this May, with support from DJ TALIA.
Originally from Burgess Hill (although they’re currently scattered between London and Brighton) Lovepark came together at the skatepark, taking their name from the iconic Philly skate spot.
The quartet are inspired by classic guitar bands such as The Smiths and The Cure while also drawing from everything from Hip Hop to film scores (a new song they’re playing features a section from the score to Midnight Express). Although having modern day comparisons from off-kilter pop icons Grizzly Bear and Dirty Projectors, Lovepark produce much sparser arrangements fronted by juxtaposed guitars, drum pads, and echoing harmonies

Field Day and The Shacklewell Arms present Younghusband at The Ace Hotel this may, with support from Echo Lake.
Younghusband is a British band from London,UK. They released their first single in June 2011 with the UK label Too Pure, followed by the ‘Crystal E.P.’ released by shoegaze label Sonic Cathedral in Nov 2011. They began recording their debut album in the summer of 2012 with producer Nicolas Vernhes, noted for his work with the likes of Animal Collective, Deerhuter, Dirty Projectors and Silver Jews.
Troumaca will release their brilliant debut album The Grace on 26 August via Brownswood Recordings. Drawing inspiration from love, honour and warmer climes, the Birmingham five piece have created a longplayer that draws on tropical rhythms and textures more commonly associated with the Caribbean than the Midlands, filtered through pirate radio and the perpetually shifting dance music underground. Spacious and ancient, The Grace is an album bred out of a love affair with UK bass music – you might even call it bass escapism.
We are very excited to announce Max Jury’s first headline show in London at Servants Jazz Quarters in Dalston.

Eat Your Own Ears proudly presents Teleman + Special Guests at Islington Assembly Hall this May.
Teleman are a 4-piece comprising Hiro Amamiya, Peter Cattermoul and brothers Tom and Jonny Sanders. They formed off the back of a handful of demos that Tom had made at home and quickly caught the ear of producer Bernard Butler as well as cult-indie label Moshi Moshi Records. The fruits of this collaboration took the form of a single – Cristina / In Your Fur – released in January on Moshi Moshi to cross-the-board critical acclaim. A BBC 6 Music playlist and a handful of sold-out London shows lead to festival bookings at most of the key UK festivals. Their sound has been described as Robert Wyatt meets Pet Shop Boys meets The Velvet Underground. A confusing reference maybe, but one, which probably reflects the uniqueness of their sound. A second single is due for release in June and the band are finalising their debut album with Bernard for release later in 2013.
“Teleman make an almighty statement of intent for 2013 with one of those debut singles that is so sit-up-and-listen stunning, you find yourself playing it again and again” Sunday Times
“In Cristina, Teleman have that rare thing: a seriously strong debut single. Be quick to seem the in venues where they’re still within gobbing/snogging distance of the audience”. NME
