Part of the Rough Trade 40th anniversary program is this special show featuring headline act Josh T Pearson, fresh from the triumph of a reformed Lift to Experience Royal Festival Hall Meltdown show. Josh has long been a friend of rough Trade, and all at the shops have equally long admired the unique, literate and original work of this singular interpreter of American song.
Also appearing will be Duke Garwood and Smoke Fairies, collaborating especially for the evening. Opening proceedings will be poet Will Burns and pedal-steel guitar player Adam Chetwood.
We’re excited to announce that the brilliant Wooden Shjips will be playing the Scala on 30 October!
As part of our Rough Trade 40th Anniversary celebrations, The Shacklewell Arms will become a celebration of all things noisy, from the shamanic psychedelia of Baba Naga to the enigmatic Fish who specialise in fuzzy grunge guitars and screaming vocals. US band and Mexican Summer signing Pill will be bringing their krautrock inspired no-wave sound to the bill after supporting Parquet Courts on their autumn EU tour, and newcomers Dancehall will open proceedings. Topping off the day will be headliners Skinny Girl Diet, a riot grrl influenced trio who are sure to leave your ears ringing for more.
Death Grips will headline the Roundhouse on Halloween weekend.
Ahead of his sold out show at The Lexington on Thursday, we are pleased to announce a new Ben Watt show for October!
TaxiWars is the result of a wayward and intensive collaboration between dEUS frontman Tom Barman and saxophone player Robin Verheyen.
Vocalist Tom Barman has been fronting the indie-band dEUS since 1994, selling over a million albums along the way. He directed the 2003 film Any Way the Wind Blows, and oversaw two acclaimed jazz compilations: That’s Blue + Painters Talking (Blue Note, 2006) and Living on Impulse (Impulse!, 2012).
Saxophone player Robin Verheyen moved to New York nine years ago and has built a reputation as one of the great young talents in the world of jazz and classical music. He has released two albums with the Robin Verheyen NY Quartet, and has performed with such artists as Marc Copland, Ravi Coltrane, Narcissus, Gary Peacock, and Joey Baron.
We are very excited to present Sleigh Bells at The Dome this October!

London Duo Ten Fé make darkly romantic electronic rock and roll and have been described as ‘wonderfully refined’; they will be joined by Manchester band Aldous RH, the alter ego of ex Egyptian Hip Hop singer Alexander, who creates blurry blue eyed soul and blissful ballads.
