Internationally acclaimed, Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, whistler and songwriter Andrew Bird is joined by drummer Ted Poor and bassist Alan Hampton to form The Andrew Bird Trio.
The trio’s debut release, Sunday Morning Put-On features standards by Duke Ellington (‘Caravan’), Cole Porter (‘You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To’) and more.
Sunday Morning Put-On closes with its lone original song, ‘Ballon de peut-être’. Additional contributors to the new album include guitarist Jeff Parker and pianist Larry Goldings.

He’s worked with Jarvis Cocker, Peter Gabriel, and Bernard Sumner; remixed Jessie Ware, Kraftwerk, and Disclosure; co-wrote Katy Perry’s “Into Me You See”; and released the 2011 hit “Gabriel” with Valentina.
