Dog Unit & Friends finds Dog Unit continue their bi-monthly residency at Servants Jazz Quarters, inviting their most creative friends to a night of experimentation and collaboration.
The band will play two sets: one by themselves, featuring brand-new material, and another in collaboration with the evening’s special guests. Experimental acts will fill the upstairs bar, with guest DJs closing out the event. Witness the band’s musical process up close, and be the first to hear tunes that might make up Dog Unit’s debut album.

James Yorkston, Nina Persson (The Cardigans) and The Second Hand Orchestra will release ‘The Great White Sea Eagle’, the follow-up to James Yorkston and The Second Hand Orchestra’s The Wide, Wide River – a Guardian Top 10 Folk Album of 2021, at The Jazz Cafe on Monday 6th February.
Teaming up with Swedish collective, The Second Hand Orchestra, the Scottish singer-songwriter takes us into the beautiful world of improv in the folk world. Marrying the lush and majestic orchestral production led by Karl-Jonas Winqvist and vocals by Nina Persson.
