It’s been five years since Audion’s HECATOMB, the hypnotic live A/V tour that changed the way we look at MATTHEW DEAR’S dancefloor alter ego. But the wait is over: Audion is back with a career-spanning retrospective (Audion X), a new album in the works for 2014, and SUBVERTICUL, a brand new, breathtakingly immersive audiovisual experience.

We can’t wait to host Field Day Amsterdam at the legendary Trouw on Friday 2 May.  Considered one of the best clubs not only in Amsterdam but the whole of Europe, Trouw is housed in a former news printing plant in the East of the city. Now it serves as a contemporary cultural platform, with international club evenings, concerts and a programme of progressive art and culture, where both lovers of international music and art as well as the residents in the local neighbourhood feel at home: A town within a city. We are very excited to confirm an excellent line up for this excellent venue: the brilliant Four Tet and Jamie xx.

“One of our favorite festivals and two of our favorite artists: we’re stoked to have Field Day over on May 2nd and show the Londoners how we do things in the Dam!”, Trouw, Amsterdam

Shearwater are back with a new album, ‘Fellow Travellers’ out via Sub Pop on 25th November.

“It was meant to be a small thing, maybe a home-recorded EP, to release between Animal Joy and the next full-length (for which we’re in the studio right now). But it took on a life of its own. Re-imagining and renovating songs by the bands we’ve toured with was like leafing through a scrapbook, and brought back the highs and lows of a decade of touring, from dives in Oklahoma and squats in Slovenia to the Fillmore West, the Bataclan, and the MGM Grand (ask me about that one sometime).”

Plus support from My Sad Captains.

BAT AND BALL play the Shacklewell Arms in April.

With her guitar slung low and vocals that switch from tender to fierce in a heartbeat, Abi Sinclair is a mesmerising front woman and the on-stage chemistry between her and brother Chris, who also sings and plays bass, is strikingly obvious. Born in the West Country, Chris and Abi were writing and performing in various bands from their early teens, though never together. Moving to London and both studying at Goldsmiths College brought them closer, musically and personally, and it was a natural progression to begin to work together artistically. So in 2012 they recruited fellow Goldsmiths students, Ed Burton (drums), Jamie Coe (guitar) and Harri Chambers (keyboards), and began their musical incarnation as Bat and Ball.

KURT VILE plays a special solo show at the beautiful St James Church, Piccadilly.

Kurt Vile (real name) has slowly, quietly become one of the great American guitarists and songwriters of our time.  Kurt was born in 1980, one of ten children, and raised in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia. As a teenager, his bluegrass-loving father gifted him with a banjo, when what Kurt craved was a guitar – so he played it as if it were.

SEEKAE’s debut album The Sounds of Trees Falling on People was met with unanimous acclaim, with Rolling Stone calling it ‘as ambient and mesmerizing as an iced-over forest’, and Sydney radio station FBI dubbing it one of the best Australian albums of the decade.

A strikingly assured collection of intricate, dynamic electronica, SEEKAE’s debut lp was rich in its detail, ambitious in its scope, running through 8-bit electronica, buoyant pop, ambient wash and surging, noisier workouts. With a live show to match, in 2009 Seekae won Best Live Act at Sydney’s Music Arts and Culture wards.

We are pleased to announce Arthur Beatrice’s London show at Oslo in April.

With their fascinatingly spacious and assured debut album ‘Working Out’ now primed for release on the 24th of February, Arthur Beatrice have taken their time to sculpt it into a record they can be confident in and proud of. The gestation period w as their wisest move yet, for ‘Working Out’ delivers and lingers far beyond any hype could have predicted.

The 11 track record was produced by the band themselves at their East London studio, Baltic Studios. It was mixed by Lexxx at Konk Studios.

Arthur Beatrice: “Working Out is the first time we have produced something entirely by ourselves. The record is very personal to us, having been written and recorded in our own space, where we were able to take the time to craft it into something we’re hugely proud of.”

Snow Ghosts is the collaboration between Throwing Snow and Augustus Ghost. Their debut album ‘A Small Murmuration’ – described by Pigeons & Planes as “emotional and gripping throughout” – marries stirring electronics with the shadowy elements of folk and post-rock, and won over everyone from Zane Lowe to The Guardian. Returning to London from a showcase gig at SXSW Festival in Texas, they follow up September’s sell-out gig at St Pancras Old Church with a very special show at St Giles-in-the-Fields on Friday 4th April.

They’ll be supported by the hotly-tipped – but equally wintry – Norwegian duo Soft As Snow, whose “synth pop for the interplanetary set” (No Fear of Pop) has stunned audiences at The Old Blue Last and Power Lunches, as well as across Europe. Meanwhile, Snow Ghosts’ Houndstooth labelmate, Second Storey provides DJ support with elaborate, enigmatic electronica.
